What is good? Well, each of us will have our own definition of what is preferable. However, the following terms are often associated with good products – quality, excellence, genuine, reliable, dependable and beneficial.
- Price – does this product provide the right amount of value for money?
- Quality – is it made well, with good materials, in a way that is built to last?
- Feelings – do you have positive feelings towards this product? Is it stylish? Does it make you feel good?
- Function – does it do what it claims to do? Does it have great features? Is it the ‘smart choice’?
- The world – is the existence of this product not only good for you and other customers, but also the industry and the environment?
You are unique, so how much you care about each of these five categories will likely be totally different to how another person feels.
That’s why we ask you to rate products in a way that reflects your personal view by using a star rating in each category.
Our five star community review method asks you to choose stars on particular categories of importance for you, rather than the traditional one to five star ratings system that you’ll be familiar with.
We think helping you (and everyone else) understand what’s good across these dimensions will help fill the world with more things that are generally good.
And, hopefully, it will give us the tools and data to teach companies how they can make their products better for you too.
